KFC Brings Deep-Fried Mac and Cheese to the Philippines

I will try literally any new product Trader Joe’s will throw on their shelf, but I’ve never had the courage to try their frozen macaroni and cheese bites. I walk by the frozen appetizer shelves and covet them, but fear the judgment of friends and family. The nutritional value of regular mac and cheese is already questionable, so I just stick to slipping a box of classic noodles and cheese powder into my shopping car inconspicuously, then make sure to cook up my favorite creamy comfort late at night when everyone is asleep.

KFC, a venerable expert in fried breading and indulgent southern side dishes, has taken a stab at combining their gooey rich mac and cheese with a deep-fried outer shell. We imagine these taste like ripping the skin off some KFC chicken and wrapping it around a side of their mac and cheese, taco style. In that case, I’m in. The bacon flavor sounds dubious.
