Kanye Gets A Reality Check And Trader Joe’s Gets Real Sweet [KATCHUP]

You are now tuned in to the Foodbeast Weekly Katchup! We’re about to hit you with this week’s top 6 food stories, highlighted by the infamous Kanye West getting shot down at a Texas restaurant, and Burger King channeling their inner-Paula Deen by smothering their Extra Long Cheeseburger with butter.

We also dig into a bunch of Trader Joe’s new food items, because apparently y’all healthy MFers love Trader Joe’s.

So let’s get right into it and check down the best new food and food stories of the week:

6. Dr. Pepper Milkshake At Burger King

Burger King’s been coming hard and fast with new menu items, and they actually aren’t strange, or terrible. While last year they hit us with the nostalgic Surge Slushie, now they’ve got a Dr. Pepper milkshake, which is essentially a Dr. Pepper float. It works, though. READ MORE AT FOODBEAST…

5. Chocolate Mousse Greek Yogurt

All right, Trader Joe’s. You better start throwing money at us like Lil Wayne at a club, because we’re showing you a hell of a lot of love in this week’s Katchup. Yeah, it’s mostly cause you’ve been dropping that fire, but still. The yogurt is exactly what it sounds like, but for you muscle-heads trying to make “gains,” this yogurt packs 16 grams of protein.

4. Trader Joe’s Molten Macarons

Here’s another one from Trader Joe’s as they’ve taken the concept of a molten lava cake and incorporated them into giant macarons. Yes, macarons, not macaroons. They macarons come in both Chocolate and Salted Butterscotch flavors, with a box of two retailing at $3.99.

3. Chocolate Raspberry Tamales

Last Trader Joe’s one, I swear. No, those vegan do-gooders aren’t paying us for all this love, but they should.

Their New Chocolate Raspberry Tamales are almost blasphemous. Even though they’re made by a small company in Mexico, they’ve resorted to hipsterizing it for the Trader Joe’s faithful customers. They still use traditional corn masa and added cocoa, cinnamon, semi sweet chocolate and raspberries to the mix. They are good, though, so I can’t throw too much shade.

2. Extra Long Buttery Cheeseburger

There was a time that Kanye West thought he could jump up to the front of the famous Franklin BBQ, because he’s Kanye West. General Manager Benjamin Jacob told the Times that “Kanye West wanted to cut the line, but we didn’t let him. Everybody’s equal.” READ MORE AT FOODBEAST…
