Italy Just Baked Up A Record-Breaking, MILE-LONG PIZZA
Italy is pizza’s motherland, so it’s only right that 60 sweaty Italian dudes collaborated to drop a mile long pizza at Expo Milano 2015.
According to Mashable, it took the chefs 18 hours to make this long-distance pie, with five ovens, 1.7 tons of flour, 1.5 tons of mozzarella and 2 tons of tomato sauce. That’s right — TONS.
It was officially dubbed “The World’s Longest Pizza” by Guinness World Records and measured in at 1.59545 kilometers long, which is about a mile in ‘Merica distance. The previous record was held by Spain with a 1.1415 kilometer-long pizza.
