In-N-Out Kimchi Burger, Because This is Koreamerica

We’re coining this crazy #foodbeast creation the In-N-Out Kimchi Burger, or the ‘KimcheeseBurger, or just, a genius idea that I wish I had thought of many, many years ago.

The idea comes by way of LA-based graphic designer Benjie Escobar‘s Instagram account, and the creation speaks volumes about kimchi, In-N-Out and the idea of testing the limits of great products. The move was simple: take the famed In-N-Out cheeseburger and add a layer of kimchi (traditional fermented Korean dish made of seasoned vegetables like napa cabbage, radish, scallions, etc.) to the magic.

Kimchi on a burger isn’t a brand new idea, a quick web search will lead you to several previous attempts, but utilizing an In-N-Out burger as the base is something we haven’t heard of — until now.

In-N-Out burgers remain a fun and versatile platform for modification, particularly because diehard fans of the West Coast brand will be hard pressed to find a modification that actually detracts from the burger. Reminds me of that time we made a Nutella Double Double Bacon Cheeseburger in an attempt to push the limits of what we could put on the burger and still have it taste good…sure enough, it still tasted good.

What’s your favorite way to have your In-N-Out burger?
