Impossible Foods Is Testing Its New Plant-Based Beef Hot Dogs At Secret NYC Pop-Up

New Yorkers have one more reason to consider The Big Apple the greatest city on earth. On Saturday, December 16, Impossible Foods is offering curious customers a chance to taste test its latest plant-based innovation: Beef Hot Dogs.

For one day only, stop by an undisclosed location between 11am to 6pm to get your hands on a free frank. The location will be announced on the Impossible Food’s Instagram account in the days leading up to the event.

This will be the first taste test of the new Impossible Beef Hot Dog, which promises to be a faithful take on the American-style classic — it even offers a similar cooking and sensory experience. Following the initial test, it’s expected to hit grocery stores and restaurants next year.

Compared to traditional dogs, Impossible Beef Hot Dogs offer additional nutrients like 50% less total and saturated fat, 12 grams of protein (versus 6 grams), and zero cholesterol. They also replace synthetic nitrates and nitrates with cultured celery powder.

“Hot dogs are an undeniably classic part of American culture and not to mention, they’re a burger’s best friend. It’s long been a priority to add them to our product portfolio,” said Peter McGuinness, CEO and President of Impossible Foods. “Our adaptation replicates the quintessential hot dog taste, while offering consumers a nutrient-dense product that’s better for the planet. We want people to see that there’s really no compromise when you choose Impossible products. It’s as easy as throwing an Impossible Hot Dog on the grill — right next to an Impossible Burger.”

Make sure to follow Impossible Foods on Instagram for the address as December 16 approaches.
