Here’s Where To Get The Viral Loaded Pickle Boats

Back in 2020, Scott Kaylin discovered that California was seriously lacking in New York-style pickles. Noticing this pickle deficit on the West Coast, Kaylin turned the pandemic into an opportunity and opened the first-of-its-kind pickle tasting bar at The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles.

Due to its meteoric success and the virality that came with the pickle’s delicious flavor, Kaylin decided that one stand wasn’t enough. Now, four years later, Kaylin + Kaylin Pickles has expanded its business into an entirely new concept: pickle boats.

And yes, “pickle boat” has officially been trademarked by the pickle company as of last month.

The pickle boats lend themselves as the perfect vehicle for flavor, whether your aim is sweet or savory. Did you read the caption above and ask yourself: “Why the F*CK would I eat Nutella and peanut butter and pretzels out of a pretzel?!”

You aren’t alone. I promise.

I can also promise that the Nutella + peanut butter + pretzel pickle boat was my favorite combination on the entire menu. The secret lies in hollowing out the pickles, which removes some of the original pickle flavor and makes room for fillings that are perfectly complemented by the pickle’s crunch and chill.

Oh, did I mention the peanut butter is warmed up? Yeah, it is.

If going the sweet route isn’t your journey, then you’ll appreciate the savory offerings from Kaylin’s new concept. A fan favorite is already the cream cheese, lox, and everything bagel seasoning pickle boat which I’m certain will become every keto lover’s newest obsession.

The stand recently opened to big appetites, bigger lines, and rave reviews. Kaylin’s infamous statistic is still ringing true: “Our pickle can convert 99% of pickle haters into pickle lovers. They’re that good.”

So if you’re cocking your head to the side and wondering if these pickle boats are a flop or a phenomenon, get yourself down to The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles and taste them for yourself.
