Gun Safety 101 – Make Guns Out of Sugar

Technically, artist Darren Lago‘s newest installation, Sugar, (which just finished a month-long curation at Davidson Contemporary in New York) is made of tinted resin and glass. But the “Candy Colts” are designed to look like little gummy guns–presumably so children know how bad they are for your teeth.

In any case, they’re gorgeous, and are even “flavored”, including watermelon, kiwi, and something called blackcurrant melba.

So, maybe the point is that…fruit kills?
