A Gudetama Cafe Is Now Open In The U.S.

SoCal Sanrio fans are in for a treat. There’s a new Gudetama-inspired cafe that’s now open in Buena Park, CA and it’s the first and only one of its kind.

If you’re unfamiliar with Sanrio and the lazy legend Gudetama, it’s basically a cracked egg with anthropomorphic features. Its body is made up of yolk, and has two sesame seed-like eyes, a mouth, and yolky arms and legs. You’ll mostly find Gudetama chillin’ inside of a cracked egg or laying atop an egg-white using a strip of bacon as a blanket.

Fans can dig into dishes like various egg sandwiches, Wagyu sliders, and bacon & cheese tots. Trust, your breakfast cravings will leave satisfied.

Since being introduced by Sanrio in 2013, Gudetama has attracted a large fan following who have fallen in love with its lackadaisical approach to life. Who hasn’t dreamed of having a perpetual day off? No one knows how to relax like Gudetama.
