Fox Financial Expert Blames Inflation For His $28 Taco Bell Order, Sparks Hilarious Twitter Comments

Taco Bell’s biggest fans can score exclusive access to an anniversary-inspired meal with Born X Raised, offered on the Taco Bell website and mobile app only starting today, March 21. The default vegetarian limited-time $8.99 combo will feature favorites like the Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme, Bean Burrito, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and Cinnamon Twists, served with a large unsweetened iced tea and two Diablo Sauces to keep things spicy.

In a recent post shared by twitter user @EricKleefeld, Fox Business contributor, Scott Martin, uses his $28 Taco Bell order as an example of how bad inflation has gotten. The admission immediately came under scrutiny, as he was immediately asked in disbelief, “Wait a minute, you spent $28 at Taco Bell for just yourself?” while another simply laughed before adding, “That’s alotta chalupas!”

While it’s true inflation has been a hot topic as of late with everything from food to gas prices soaring, Twitter users still found it hard to believe a single Taco Bell order now costs $28. In response to the clip, folks began chiming in, sparking a hilarious debate.

@KeeshaStrand questioned the cost, divulging her unique appetite:

In response, @PopeJupiter gave added support:

Another user, @trebuchet_guy, was so inspired they came up with a TikTok challenge:

Unfortunately, it’s looking like inflation will continue its upward trend for now. While hilarious Twitter debates are always welcomed, fingers crossed things don’t get that out of hand.
