Flying Embers Takes Off With New Plant-Based Canned Cocktails

Flying Embers just released a new drink into the world via its Flying Embers Cocktails, its line of ready-to-drink, sparkling canned cocktails.

These 100% plant-based, organic cocktails are crafted by brewing and barrel-aging classic cocktail ingredients, versus the standard process of spiking a mixed drink.

“We recognized the need to reimagine what a canned cocktail is — in theory it’s great to picture a couple of shots of a spirit and fresh juice in a can, but that’s not the reality. Many of the RTDs on the market positioning themselves as better-for-you are in fact full of syrups, colors, stabilizers and other junk because fresh cocktails just don’t hold up to being packaged,” said Flying Embers Founder and CEO Bill Moses. “We went back to our roots of working with plant-based ingredients and using our fermentation technique to create the wildly delicious and complex flavors consumers are seeking, while being brewed to be better; naturally free of sugars and carbs.”

This first release includes The Sparkling Margarita Variety Pack and The Sparkling Mojito Variety pack. Sparkling Margarita includes three flavors (Classic Lime, Blood Orange Pomegranate, Strawberry Guava) crafted with real lime juice and agave nectar, and aged in tequila barrels. The Sparkling Mojito also  includes three flavors (Lime, Watermelon, Mango) brewed with real lime juice and mint, and aged in rum barrels.

Flying Embers Cocktails will be available for purchase online and in select retail stores, bars, and restaurants in California, Texas, Colorado, and North Carolina for $11.99. Flying Embers has plans to continue to expand distribution throughout the year.
