FIFA Is Investigating How Salt Bae Crashed Argentina’s World Cup Celebration

Salt Bae looking like a complete dork after Argentina’s World Cup win has been a hot topic as of late, with many rightfully denouncing his cringey clout chasing. The celebrity chef was seen pestering Lionel Messi, biting a medal, and grabbing and kissing the World Cup trophy, something that goes against FIFA rules.

According to the organization, only former World Cup winners and heads of state are allowed to hold the coveted trophy. After the backlash Salt Bae’s received for his antics, FIFA has decided to look into how he had access to the pitch.

“Following a review, FIFA has been establishing how individuals gained undue access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at Lusail Stadium on 18 December,” stated world soccer’s governing body, continuing that “The appropriate internal action will be taken.”

As a result of Salt Bae’s thirsty limelight-stealing hijinks, events like Rolling Loud and the U.S. Open Cup Finals have already announced that he’s banned from both upcoming events.
