You Can Now Read Professional Critic Reviews on Restaurant Facebook Pages
You’ve probably seen your friends leave reviews on a restaurant’s Facebook page with their ever insightful, “Yum!” Or “This place is gross.” Well, now Facebook’s trying to mix in some critiques from people who actually get paid to do so.
According to the Verge, Facebook is joining forces with a few food review web sites, including: Bon Appetit, Conde Nast Traveler, Eater, New York Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Facebook Said the critiques should be unbiased and they’ve already got thousands of restaurants lined up, ready to meet their fate.
A Facebook spokesperson told the Verge, “Since reviews are such an important part of helping people make informed decisions about what to do locally, we’re excited to be incorporating a new way for people to use Facebook to find the best real-world experience.”
For better or worse, it looks like Facebook restaurant reviews are going to be a little meatier now.
