Eggo’s Pancake House Is Your Dream Breakfast Getaway
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… an enormous stack of pancakes in the middles of the forest? Eggo, known for their ready-to-go waffles, has branched out just in time for National Pancake Day and constructed a pancake-themed house in the Smoky Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Just an hour outside of Knoxville, this home is available to book your stay (for free) starting February 28.
I had to check out the stacked house — pun very much intended — to see what made the setup so sweet. Okay, I’m done with the pancake puns.
Rolling up to the house, guests will see a big, delectable stack of pancakes emerge from the Smoky Mountain forest. If the stack of pancakes doesn’t catch your eye, the enormous “Eggo” logo on the chimney stack will! The outside is decked out with a full fire pit setup, branded outdoor games, a hot tub, and a tandem bike in case guests have the urge to burn off some pancakes and head into the bustling mountain town of Gatlinburg.
Once you’re inside the home, you’re completely immersed in a tasty experience (that wasn’t a pancake pun so it doesn’t count).
The house itself sleeps eight comfortably with four themed bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The lower level opens up to a customized pool table surrounded by stacks of pancake beanbag pads and a cozy fireplace.
Heading upstairs, guests are greeted with a second Eggo-inspired living room, dining room, and — my personal favorite — the Eggo kitchen, complete with an Eggo-coded Smeg fridge fully stocked with your favorite Eggo products and a maple syrup fountain!
Each bedroom has its own unique flair right down to the wallpaper, with one room boasting a pancake pattern which I immediately wanted for my own future cozy cabin. The entire house is branded from head to toe and offers a cost-free experience for families who are looking for a unique getaway this year for Spring Break.
Joe Beauprez, Senior Director of Marketing for Frozen Foods at Kellanova, sat down with us during our visit to the house to provide more insight into the experience.
“Eggo and waffles are an iconic combination, so much so that fans might forget about our pancakes, admits Joe Beauprez, Senior Director of Marketing for Frozen Foods, Kellanova. Beauprez goes on to say, “[Eggo] know[s] that planning a family vacation can be chaotic, so we’re helping parents check one more thing off their to-do list for spring break season with this deliciously fun house.”
Here’s how to book a stay at the Eggo House of Pancakes:
