We Tasted Eggo’s New Boozy ‘Brunch In A Jar’

Nothing makes a morning better than the smell of maple syrup, butter and the iconic Eggo waffles. You know it, love it and probably ate it every morning before catching the school bus. Now, Eggo is growing with its millennials and dropping a new boozy Brunch In A Jar.

Just in time for National Waffle Day, August 24, the waffle experts at Eggo and spirit specialists from Sugarlands Distilling Co. partnered to take brunching up a notch with the latest drink innovation. We had the chance to taste and can verify the boozy part checks out.

Opening of the jar gave you the perfect smell of butter and maple syrup. Thinking we’d get a sweet and savory taste, but once we took that first sip, it’s definitely for the drinking crowd. It was a bit strong for my taste, but nonetheless, this would pair well as a drizzle on your Eggo waffle.

Inspired by classic brunch favorites, the liqueur blends the flavors of toasted Eggo waffles, sweet maple syrup, and rich butter, with a hint of smoky bacon thanks to the artistry of the experts at Sugarlands.

“Between the juggle of constantly changing schedules, household errands, family outings or busy workdays, it can often feel impossible for parents to find moments they can savor for themselves,” said Joe Beauprez, Senior Director of Marketing for Frozen Foods

With 20 percent ABV, parents will be relaxing for sure. Ready to claim a bottle of your own? Eggo Brunch In A Jar is available at select retailers nationwide and online in select states.
