Eat This: Twix Cake Oozing Caramel

Twix-Cake

Tonight there will be thousands of trick-o-treaters unloading their pillowcase bags of candy, separating the icky boxes of Sun-Maid Raisins from the precious Milky Ways and M&M’s. Of course, we all know that the Twix is one of the bomby-est candies you can get your hands on this Halloween and that one piece of Twix is equal to three Mr. Goodbars,  at least two Kit-Kats and one peanut butter Reese’s. (Candy Trading 101)

Economically speaking, a Twix’s high price point can be accredited to its delicate biscuit layer and caramel topping separated by a thin layer of chocolate, the entire goodness encased in milk chocolate. Now imagine someone made a larger-than-life Twix-inspired cake…because they did. Steph of Raspberri Cupcakes, the self-proclaimed “food blogger on a constant sugar high,” has swapped the biscuit for yellow cake, the Twix chocolate for chocolate ganache and added sea salt to the caramel to offset the sweetness. It’s worth at least 100 Reese’s and 50 Kit-Kats.
