Easter Retail Blackout: These Major Stores Will Be Closed On April 20

Easter Sunday falls on April 20 this year, and several major retailers have announced plans to close their doors in observance of the holiday. Target is leading the charge, confirming all 1,978 of its U.S. locations will be closed for the day. The retail giant joins other chains including Aldi, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Publix, which will also be observing the holiday with a full-day closure.
However, not all retailers are following suit. Walmart, Kroger, Trader Joe’s, and Dollar Tree have confirmed they will remain open on Easter Sunday, with Dollar Tree keeping all 16,800 locations operational nationwide.
Consumers are encouraged to check with their local stores for specific hours, as schedules may vary by location.
