Dunkin’ Donuts Announces Upcoming Croissant and Donut Combination, Take a Wild Guess

Dunkin’ Donuts has just announced on their Instagram that they’re bringing together two fan-favorite pastries in the next month. With the announcement, the donut franchise has posted a photograph of a croissant sandwiched on top of a donut. They’re asking fans to guess what they have cooking up in their test kitchens.

Don’t mind if we do.

Sure everyone’s first reaction is they’re going for a croissant-donut hybrid, similar to the famous Cronut. Those in-the-box thinkers are probably overlooking the endless possibilities that can come from sandwiching something between said croissant and donut. We’d love to try a burger with a donut top and croissant bottom. The croissant would soak in the burger juices while the donut adds a sweet crunch. Heaven.

Maybe they’ll introduced croissants with icing and sprinkles on top, or donuts stuffed with ham, egg and cheese. Has anyone ruled out croissant holes?

Watch, it’ll just look like a Cronut.
