DRUNKBEAST: Mae's Cafe (Garden Grove, CA)

Wasssz a crazy niiiight! This DRUNKBEAST post really did get out of hand quickstyle! The man @wafeek held down a killer showww at the @rudeluv cabinmansion in the almost beautiful city of Garden Grove! Multiple kegs later, we found ourselves wandering over to Mae’s Cafe for some 24 hour diner eats. If you don’t know, myyyyy camera drunk phone will tell you the rest + we got some 01% relevant footage from Rudy’s phone over dinner as well.

Party’s over time to get to Mae’s!!! Uh-oh, look who made it to the final table, we’re looking at RAJ on the left and Foodbeast’s very own Marc on the right:

Of course we got @geoffreykutnick in attendance too, holding up the menu and letting us know where we’re at! To the right of Geoff is @rudeluv punching away at his Blackberry. When Rudy is mastering beats he’s behind the keys of Macbook stroking away new features here on Foodbeast. LAAAA

In the stripes to the left, above, we got @taylorcorner, aka TC90 aka DJ TAYTAYTAYTAY aka assssssociate editor of FOODBEAST dot COM. To his right we have our new friend and super emcee LIMOTINT aka LT. Who seated this table?!

Dude on the left (above) is the one and only SUPER ARAB….VICTORRRRRR YANIE. Later on in this post, you will see him order the biggest thing on the menu.

If I remember correctly, this is a shot of RUDY trying to login to FOODBEAST.COM and create this post. He accidentally hit the VIDEO RECORD button and ended up recording the following from that evening:

These guys look none too happy I’m taking their picture. Either that or they’re ready for the food. If I had to pick between the two, I’d pick raspberry. Wait, what?1

Forgive me for beeeing drunk I can’t rmembrrre what everyone ordered, but the picture above is my BREAKFAST FAJITA, beans, carne asada, eggs, cheese, grilled vegetables, with corn tortillas…DELICIOUS.

RAJ going in with that Tapatio! Marc got cutoff on the right hand of the picture, he was last to get his food because he’s a CELTICS fan. Sorry bud.

Our man LIMOTINT here doesn’t believe in breakfast at all hours. He opted for the Club SANDWICH because that’s what he does. Gotta respect the decision making though. GEOFF (below) on the other hand, went straight for the Huevos Rancheros and massive amounts of hashhhhhh [browns].

Like I mentioned earlier, below we have a few shots of VICTOR YANIE in the WILD. He ordered up some something that was called…give or take a few words… THE MAN’S MEAL. It was one of the most expensive dishes on the menu and literally came in multiple installments:

Victor THE SUPER-ARAB pretending to act like he didn’t know his order would come in 5 different dishes. Awwww poor guy.

After we all finished our food, the funny/kind waitress promptly brought out Marc’s plate, empty of course, because he’s a Celtics fan. Our entire meal barely touched the lower half of 60 dollars, not bad for feeding two tables of drunkees (TIP YOUR WAITRESSSES!). Either way, if you’re in the ORANGE COUNTY area and it’s late (or even if it’s not), and you’re trying to get your EAT ON at an affordable price, head on in to MAE’S CAFE in GARDEN GROVE, CA. EAT ON and DRINK ON (safely of course)! Open 24 hours a day. That is truly… Foodbeast.
