Domino’s Helping Cities Plow Snow This Winter To Deliver Pizza

Domino’s is putting an end to anything that is stopping them from delivering a hot pizza to you, including the snow. No more snow days — at least for Domino’s.

The pizza chain is rolling out its second stunt — Plowing for Pizza —  following the famous Paving for Pizza back in 2018. This winter, no matter how much snow is out there, Domino’s is guaranteeing your pizza delivery because they’re going out of their way to plow the streets to ensure roads are safe for delivery drivers.

“At Domino’s we’ve made delivery cars with warming ovens built in, paved roads to get your pizza home hot and in perfect condition, and offered pizza insurance for when anything goes awry,” said Joe Jordan, Domino’s president of U.S. and global services. “To us, nothing should stand in the way of getting a delicious pizza, including snowy, cold weather. So yes — you heard it right: a pizza company is actually helping to plow roads.”

To show pizza lovers how much Domino’s cares about them, the popular chain is giving out $500,000 worth of grants to communities for snow plowing services this season. So how does this work exactly?

Fans are encouraged to visit Plowingforpizza.com to submit the zip code of their hometown for a grant. Submissions are open from Dec. 4, 2023 through Jan. 21, 2024, and is limited to one submission per email address.

Up to 20 cities across the nation will be awarded $25,000 in snow plowing grants, all to ensure that hot pizzas are accessible for carryout customers this winter.

Domino’s will name selected towns on a rolling basis throughout the program to make sure grants are awarded during the winter season; towns chosen will be announced as soon as mid-January.

Go ahead and share this with all the friends and family in your circle to make sure you get hot pizza delivered during your first snow day of the season.
