Dole Recalls Salads After Someone Died From Listeria

Dole wasted no time recalling its salads after finding out it was linked to a Listeria outbreak that killed one and sickened 12 others, according to NBC News.

Unfortunately, the outbreak occurred way back in the July, but Dole still took caution by shutting down production at its Springfield, Ohio facility.

The CDC came out and urged that people not eat any salads that came from that facility. If you want to find out which products fall under the recall, the CDC said just look for the letter “A” at the start of manufacturing code on the salad’s packaging.

So far, they’re only freaking out about products from that specific Springfield plant as none of the other Dole facilities seem to have been affected by the outbreak.

Make sure to check your salads so you don’t, like, die.
