Disney Celebrates Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month with New Eats

Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month begins on September 15 and runs through October 15. To celebrate the heritage and the food, Disney is highlighting the flavors of the Hispanic and Latin American cultures with both a limited-time and year round menu.

Your tastebuds are going to be salivating for more as these new menu items have mouthwatering descriptions including, “tres leches cake with vanilla cake soaked in almond, coconut, and oat milk.” YES.

Booking a trip to Disney soon? Here are some of the NEW eats you’ll have to add to your list to try:

Carnitas Pizza: Pork carnitas, chorizo refried beans, and mozzarella with citrus cabbage slaw and salsa verde
Where: Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta at Disney California Adventure
When: September 15 through November 10

Horchata Cheesecake (with sugar skull décor)
Where: Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta at Disney California Adventure
When: September 15 through November 10

Peruvian Ceviche: Mahi Mahi filet, fresh lime juice, ají Amarillo, red onion, cherry tomato, fresh cilantro, boiled sweet potato, and corn nuts
Where: Tortilla Jo’s in Downtown Disney District
When: September 15 through October 16

Mexican Street Corn Dog: Spicy hot link sausage dipped in corn meal batter, fried and topped with garlic mayo, corn kernels, cotija cheese, and cilantro, garnished with a lime wedge, and served with a bag of chips 
Where: Downtown Disney District at Ballast Point Brewing Co.
When: September 15 through October 16

And as part of Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure – which honors the traditions of Día de los Muertos – guests can also enjoy Mexican dishes such as the traditional tamale plate, plant-based chorizo quesadilla, Coco cake and watermelon candy cocktail at the Paradise Garden Grill through November 6.
