Dippin’ Dots To Make Its Grocery Store Debut With New Line Of Ice Cream Sundaes
Fun fact: Dippin’ Dots must be stored at -40°F to maintain their signature bead shape. That’s why you typically find them in amusement parks—most grocery stores and home freezers aren’t cold enough to keep them intact. No one wants clumpy Dippin’ Dots. But soon, you might spot the beloved brand in the grocery freezer aisle for the first time ever.
Dippin’ Dots is launching its first-ever Ice Cream Sundaes, now available for purchase and perfect for enjoying at home. The sundaes come in two fan-favorite flavors: Cookies ’n Cream and Cotton Candy. While they’re not exclusively filled with the iconic beads, this new product marks an exciting step forward for the brand.
Each Ice Cream Sundae cup features a mix of Dippin’ Dots, cookie pieces, creamy ice cream, and a drizzle of flavored sauce. J&J Snack Foods, which acquired Dippin’ Dots a few years ago, carefully designed every element—from the sauce to the packaging—to minimize clumping and ensure the highest quality.
This launch opens up a whole new channel for Dippin’ Dots, bringing the popular treat into homes and creating thousands of new distribution points. “This is huge for the brand,” said Lynwood Mallard, chief marketing officer at J&J Snack Foods, adding that the company is “really bullish on this.”
