We Got First Dibs on Del Taco’s Exciting New Epic Tortas

The cravings for Del Taco’s Epic menu items sometimes hit suddenly — next thing you know we’re at a table surrounded by them, patting ourselves on the back for this move. So naturally we kept that same energy when we got first dibs on trying Del Taco’s exciting new lineup of three Epic Tortas, which will launch today, September 1st.

Del Taco’s Epic Tortas are Mexican-style sandwiches boasting toasted 7” rolls — Foodbeast’s Elie Ayrouth described them as “lowkey the star of the show” —  that house three intriguing options: Carne Asada with Creamy Queso Blanco, Freshly Grilled Chicken BLT with house-made pico and crispy chicken with fresh house-made guac. What’s more fun than getting the scoop on this lineup’s release? Eating through it, of course. And that’s just what Elie happily did on some hungry reconnaissance vibe to deliver us the juicy deets.

Chicken BLT Epic Torta

The usual suspects of bacon, lettuce and tomato take the Epic Torta approach and are joined by Del Taco’s freshly-grilled chicken and housemade Pico de Gallo to make a BLT that goes above and beyond.

Crispy Chicken & Guac Epic Torta

Del Taco’s Crispy Chicken links up with their fresh, house-made guacamole to make for an Epic Torta that’s loaded with crunch and flavor.

Carne Asada & Queso Epic Torta

The Carne Asada & Queso Epic Torta had our tastebuds fluttering from Del Taco’s melty Queso Blanco combining with cheddar cheese and juicy carne asada. The result is a top-tier melty steak sandwich.

Coinciding with the debut of Del Taco’s Epic Tortas is the introduction of Del Taco Better Mex, a brand focus and strategy that taps into the freshest ingredients to ensure housemade menu items have top notch quality.

And since we’re all friends here, a little pro-tip to elevate your next Del Taco experience: Go ahead and ask to go ‘Go Bold’ with any of the three Del Taco Epic Tortas to have them brimming with the brand’s legendary crinkle-cut fries and secret sauce. But don’t stop there, because know that you can ‘Go Bold’ with any other Del Taco menu item. Your grilled chicken soft taco’s feeling a little lonely? Invite over some crinkle-cut fries and secret sauce to start the party in your mouth. You’re welcome.
