Dangerous Times for Pizza: Delivery Guy Gets Shot At & One Employee Goes Kick-Ass on Hungry Customer

It seems to be a bad and strange time to work at a pizza place. If you have any friends who deliver pizza, they surely have some great stories of their own. Within the last month, some of the craziest things have been reported for pizza employees, such as receiving threatening calls and delivery drivers getting shot at.

These are their stories. (Dun Dun)

Incident One: The Bird Dropping Topping

In mid-December, a man threatened to shoot Pizza Hut employees after he claimed his pizza had bird droppings in it.

The Glendale, Wisconsin Pizza Hut had to call the Glendale Police Department as the suspect made harassing calls every day from Dec. 11 to Dec. 14.

Not only did he call every day, but he did so continuously from 11 a.m. to midnight. You can imagine how annoying those three days had to be.

The report said there was even a 40-minute period where he called the Pizza Hut 12 times.

Who knows what he said during all those calls, but the shooting threat had to be where the store drew the line.

Incident Two: Delivery Guy Shot At, Clint Eastwood-Style

While the man in that last report threatened the employees, a second case last month consisted of a pizza delivery driver at an unnamed Minnesota pizza place actually being shot at.

The customer seemed to think the pizza delivered to him was too small. The customer then demanded that the delivery guy give him the pizza in the car. I guess that would compensate.

The delivery driver refused and said he tried getting out of there pronto. Good thing he scurried away because the customer went in his house, took out a gun, and tried to bust a cap in… I mean, shot at the delivery guy’s general direction. The driver got away unscathed and the customer was later arrested.

Incident Three: Delivery Guy Fights Back

In a third case last month, a Pizza Hut delivery driver claimed he got demoted for defending himself with a fiberglass tent pole.

The Maryland Pizza Hut employee said he had a bad feeling during one of his deliveries so he put the pole in his coat sleeve. He apparently wasn’t paranoid as he was sucker-punched soon after. He took out the pole and promptly defended himself, probably Kick-Ass style, and the five attackers ran away.

The driver said that he was demoted from his delivery duties and got his hours cut because of that incident.

Life can be tough working in the pizza business, but at least no one was kidnapped by a couple dudes in gorilla masks, strapped to a bomb and forced to rob a bank like this poor fellow (watch below).
