CVS Just Announced It Is Ditching Long Paper Receipts For Digital Copies

Jimmy Kimmel is just as good a Vice Presidential candidate as any, and in his recent “minor” win, he’s hilariously (but quite seriously) proving his relevancy by spearheading CVS’ diversion from those hilariously long receipts.

We’ve all been victim of the toilet paper-length receipts from a local CVS every time we purchase a bag of Skittles, but no more. Jimmy Kimmel has long been on a crusade against these long receipts. Back in January, he invited his viewers to send him pictures of their ridiculously long receipts:

A few short months later Kimmel succeeded in securing CVS President Helena Foulkes on his show, and she started by admitting what we all knew for a long time.

“Our customers were very concerned with the lengths of our receipts.”

She thanks Jimmy Kimmel for highlighting the problem, then reiterates:

“CVS is moving our receipts to be digital…Will be available at 7,900 CVS locations by the end of June.”

One small win for annoyingly long receipts being demolished, one small step for a greener world. Here is the video in full, which I recommend watching because Jimmy Kimmel is potentially a better presidential candidate than most of the candidates currently on the bill:
