Craving: The Elvis Sandwich + Bacon

I was first turned on to this apparent “favorite” sandwich of the late Elvis Presley when I was out at a swanky lounge in LA with my boy Neil. He ordered up their version with some sort of caramel dipping sauce, and I was hooked. Ever since, I’ve been trying to find other places that make them, and even make them myself. In the meantime, here’s a homemade variation which includes two slices of bread, peanut butter, bacon, banana, dunked in french toast batter, and once complete…peeled open, drizzled with syrup, and put back together.
