Craving: Carnitas Torta

An extremely clean, unconventional torta pictured above. Some of the normal ingredients are in frame, everything from a large pile of juicy pork, lettuce, tomato, avocado and a long jalapeno pepper. Most peculiar in the sandwich seems to be the thick piece of white American cheese. This sandwich comes from a shop out in Philly called Taqueria La Veracruzana, and the reason I’m craving it, is simply for a possibly different torta experience than our plethora of Californian interpretations.
