Costco Japan’s Unreal Food Selection Will Make You Drool

Sushi overload🍣🍣 #costcojapan

If you thought that the food selection of Costco stores here in the U.S. is primetime, then you’ve obviously never checked out the grub inside of a Japanese Costco.

Sure, they’ve got the iconic good stuff, like cheap rotisserie chickens and MASSIVE hot dogs on the cheap. But these Costco stores also carry a ton of exclusive items that’ll make you wish you could just shop in Japan’s Costco stores all day long.

There’s platters of sushi that only cost $23 a pop — a steal for the amount of sashimi inside.

Chirashi bowls are also available by the bucketload if you’re desiring a little more rice in your diet. Man, do they look fresh and tasty.

You can also find this cute package of butter and maple syrup-stuffed pancakes. We got the chance to try these a couple of weeks ago, and our managing editor, Reach Guinto, described them as “really damn good.” Couldn’t agree more with that statement.

If you desire a fancier snack, though, there’s always escargot. Sounds strange to find this French delicacy in a Japanese wholesale store, but hey, we’ll take it.

Come to think of it, Costco Japan actually has a pretty solid and diverse spread of foreign fare as well. This shrimp penne in rose sauce, for example, has me drooling all over my keyboard.

There’s also some pretty fresh Vietnamese pho available, apparently.

And you can buy piles of Brazilian pao de queijo, which is basically the best cheesy ball of tapioca bread you’ll ever have on the planet.

You can also buy Costco’s legendary pizzas in Japan, but why do that when you can get a crazy combo pizza that looks like this?

We’ll pass on this one, though. Nobody needs to see that on a pizza.

Overall, Costco’s spread of groceries and delicious eats in Japan easily eclipses the food we can find in our own local stores, and that’s even when you factor in their new cheeseburger. Hopefully, they can send some of these goods our way soon so the US can get in on some of this scrumptious smorgasbord.
