Company Behind MrBeast Burger Countersues For $100 Million

The battle between MrBeast and the company that operates his virtual restaurant chain, Virtual Dining Concepts, rages on. We recently shared how MrBeast sued Virtual Dining Concepts for allegedly misleading customers, delivering inedible burgers, and not addressing customer complaints about the quality of the food — a move he says has damaged the MrBeast burger brand. The goal of the lawsuit is to terminate their agreement.

Clearly not one to back down, according to Variety, Virtual Dining Concepts has now countersued MrBeast for $100 million. The company alleges that MrBeast failed to honor his contractual obligations and intentionally attempted to interfere with the agreement. Variety obtained a copy of the suit, which was filed on Monday morning in the supreme Court of State of New York for the County of New York.

In the suit the statement reads, “This case is about a social media celebrity who believes his fame means that his word does not matter, that the facts do not matter, and that he can renege and breach his contractual obligations without consequence. He is mistaken.”

The suit further claims that MrBeast’s interference in their business agreement is the actual reason the reputation of MrBeast Burger has been damaged. It also says that he turned away customers and ruined relationships with suppliers and vendors — all of which affected the revenue for the many virtual restaurants that sell MrBeast Burger.

“This wanton conduct has caused Plaintiffs to suffer enormous financial harm,” the suit continues has it alleges that MrBeast also failed to meet his contractual publicity and promotional obligations. It also provides tweets as evidence of this — tweets which are now deleted. “Like any party to a contract, Donaldson [MrBeast] must be held to his word, and held accountable for his contractual breaches and other misconduct.”
