Chipotle Is Testing Chipotle Honey Chicken At Select US Cities

For a limited time, Chipotle Honey Chicken is being tested at 80 restaurants in Nashville and Sacramento to spice up guests' go-to orders with a unique heat and touch of sweet.

Chipotle’s delicious lineup might be expanding soon. The fast-casual restaurant has announced that it is testing a new menu item called Chipotle Honey Chicken. ‘Swicy’ hot honey chicken is all the rage right now, so it’s no surprise that Chipotle decided to toss its hat in the ring.

The Chipotle Honey Chicken is marinated with seared, smoked adobe (chipotle) peppers, seasoned with a blend of savory Mexican spices, and brushed with a dollop of real pure honey. Before testing it at brick-and-mortar locations, the new menu innovation underwent consumer taste tests where it exceeded expectations. There are now 80 Chipotle locations across Nashville, TN and Sacramento, CA testing it out.

“Consumers have clearly shown their enthusiasm for sweet heat flavor combinations,” stated Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer. “We have had tremendous success with ‘swicy’ innovations and believe Chipotle Honey Chicken will capture fans with a whole new level of excitement.”

If you’re a lucky resident of Nashville or Sacramento, stop by your local Chipotle today to sink your teeth into the new Honey Chicken.
