Chipotle Adds TikTok-Inspired Fajita Quesadilla To The Menu

If you’ve been on TikTok lately, you might’ve caught the buzz of folks try the now-viral Fajita Quesadilla at Chipotle, an innovative new take on their quesadilla inspired by TikTok creators Keith Lee and Alexis Frost. Well, after demand skyrocketed, Chipotle moved quickly and has officially added the Fajita Quesadillas to their digital-only menu.

The newest additions to their menu include five new quesadilla combinations:

  • Barbacoa Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Carnitas Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Chicken Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Sofritas Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies
  • Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies

“TikTok has not only changed the way we communicate with Gen-Z, but it’s proven it can identify areas of opportunity within our business,” said Chief Marketing Officer Chris Brandt. Back in December, Alexis Frost posted this TikTok with her favorite employee-inspired food hack from Chipotle:

@alexis.frost @alexis.frost this has been one of my faves ever since it was suggested . #mrsfrost #chipotle #quesadilla #foodie #foodtok #fastfood ♬ mario sound – mandycap

The video inspired Chipotle fans across the nation to try it for themselves. TikTok creator Keith Lee stitched her video with his own, adding a twist to the order by making his own vinaigrette (mixing the Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette with sour cream), launching the custom order into the stratosphere. His custom vinaigrette, along with the new quesadilla creations, will also be available on the updated digital menu.

“I never could have imagined that I’d have my own menu item at Chipotle,” Keith Lee said. “I’m blessed to be able to work with Alexis and Chipotle to answer the call from the TikTok community. In my opinion the new Fajita Quesadilla dipped in the Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette mixed with sour cream is a 10 out of 10.”

Despite growing popularity, Chipotle struggled to compete with demand due to the combination not being available in their digital menu platforms. It took two months, the training of 100,000 employees, and tech updates to 3,200 locations, but the wait has been worth it. The menu updates officially launch on March 2 exclusively on all digital menu platforms and delivery service platforms.

Be on the lookout for these new, delicious quesadillas hitting Chipotle’s digital menu on March 2.
