Cherry Vanilla and Paradise Mango Pepsi Next Flavors to Appear This Month

For fans of Pepsi Next, news that the line is getting two flavor extensions should fall on welcome ears.

Slated to appear this month, both Cherry Vanilla and Paradise Mango flavors will join the Pepsi Next roster this July, in both 12 oz cans and 20 oz bottles.

The Pepsi NEXT line notes itself as a “breakthrough in innovation – a true cola experience with 60% less sugar.”

If that’s the case, let’s take a closer look at the makeup of the new drinks. Both new flavors contain 100 calories in a 20 oz bottle, with 100 mg sodium, 26g carbs (26 g sugars), with the 12 oz cans containing 60 calories, 60 mg sodium, and 16 g carbs (15g sugars). Ingredients across both flavors are similar, listing: Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, natural flavor, phosporic acid, sodium citrate, caffeine, potassium sorbate, aspartame, citric acid, acesulfame potassium and sucralose.

Which flavor are you looking forward to?

Well, that flavor, along with Pepsi Next Cherry Vanilla, are slated to appear this month, as they waste no time pushing the new brand.

Per the Pepsi website, it seems these new flavors will be available in 12 oz cans as well as 20 oz bottles.

The new flavors contain 100 calories in a 20 oz bottle, with 100 mg sodium and 26 g carbs (26 g sugars), while a 12 oz can contains 60 calories, 60 mg sodium, and 16 g carbs (15 g sugars). Curiously, caffeine content is less than Pepsi Next, with Paradise Mango having 3.2 mg/oz vs. 3.5 mg/oz.

Like flagship Pepsi Next, Paradise Mango uses 4 sweeteners: high fructose corn syrup, acesulfame potassium, aspartame, and sucralose. Aspartame makes up the largest portion of artificial sweeteners.

Ingredients: Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, natural flavor, phosphoric acid, sodium citrate, caffeine, potassium sorbate (preserves freshness), aspartame, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, sucralose

Shifting over to Pepsi Next Cherry Vanilla, we also note that it has a lower caffeine count than Pepsi next, with 3.2 mg/oz vs. 3.5 mg/oz. A 20 oz bottle features 100 calories, 100 mg sodium and 26 g carbs (26 g sugars), while a 12 oz can contains 60 calories, 60 mg sodium, and 16 g carbs (15 g sugars).

Ingredients: Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, sugar, natural flavor, phosphoric acid, sodium citrate, caffeine, potassium sorbate (preserves freshness), aspartame, citric acid, acesulfame potassium, sucralose

We haven’t tasted these new drinks yet, but we’ll have reviews available as soon as we track them down.
