Cheez-It Has Officially Joined the Viral TikTok Brr Basket Trend

‘Tis the season for spontaneous gift-giving, right? Thanks to the latest TikTok craze known as “Brr Baskets,” we now have a formula to the perfect off-the-cuff present for anyone in your life who needs a little extra love this holiday season.

If you’re not in the know, a Brr Basket is a simple concept: grab yourself a cute little basket and fill it with a ton of fun trinkets, snacks, candles, fuzzy socks, slippers, and anything else that might help fight the urge to say brrrrrrrr.

The trend is a branch of the always-popular “Boo Baskets” craze where friends, family, or even neighbors would fill a bag or basket full of Halloween-themed goodies and treats and leave it anonymously on the recipient’s porch. Once you’ve been BOO’D, it’s now your turn to continue the trend onto two more people, creating a pay it forward effect.

Unlike the Boo Baskets, Brr Baskets aren’t meant to be paid forward but moreso a “just because” gift-giving moment for someone special in your life. The most popular TikTok videos are showing husbands surprising wives, best friends surprising each other, and even coworkers pooling together for their favorite employee.

What started as a simple trend has now captured the attention of Cheez-It who has created a Cheez-It-themed Brr Basket with cozy merch like a Cheez-It beanie, socks and fuzzy blanket, *Extra Toasty* Cheez-It flavors, and a custom card to keep your holiday spirit 100% real (cheese) from head to toe. Those can be purchased for $60 here but they sell out fast so make sure to grab yours before they’re gone.

If there’s someone out there who you think might enjoy a surprise Brr Basket, grab your keys and head out to Target or Walmart and make them a bundle that’ll chase those holiday blues away in a snap.
