Carl's Jr.: Jumbo Chili Dog

As we brought to attention a little while back, Carl’s Jr. was toying with bringing the Chili Dog idea back into rotation. Today we get the official press release, Carl’s Jr. will be touching base with its roots when its founder Carl N. Karcher and his wife Margaret opened their first restaurant initiative – a hot dog cart on a corner in Los Angeles. Ever since disappearing from their menu in the 90s, Carl’s has brought them back utilizing Farmer John hot dogs (those same franks used in ‘Dodger Dog”s), topped them with spicy beef chili, mustard and chopped onions. Available for 2 for $3, just pennies above the original hot dog cart of $0.20, these new dogs may definitely be worth a shot!
