Caramel Apple Spiced Ale Will be Blue Moon’s Next Beer Release
Blue Moon still holds it down for the gateway craft beer drinkers, and for those who like to stay up on the latest releases, the Colorado-based brewery has just announced their latest limited-release flavor: Caramel Apple Spiced Ale.
The beer is set to release in anticipation of the blue moon on August 31, 2012, but was a crowd-sourced flavor of sorts selected by Blue Moon’s fan input project, and the result was this new blend of apple juice with cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel malts.
For the enthusiasts who need to know a abit more, the profile of the new ale consists of Pale, White Wheat, Caramel and Munich malts, a spalt select hops (more on the carbonated side) with a twist of apple juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. The ABV on this new Fall flavor sits at a healthy 5.8%, and is described as a “seasonal blend of spice and caramel malts that highlight the crisp apple taste.”
The new brew will be available in 12-oz. bottles as part of the brand’s Brewmaster’s Autumn Sampler Pack.
