How To Turn Your Caprese Salad Into Delicious, Deep-Fried Cheese Balls
Whenever our Foodbeast brother, Josh Elkin, drops by, we know we’re in for a treat, as the former Epic Meal Time chef always cooks up something bad-ass.
This time, the Canadian Destroyer got down on a Caprese salad and not only found a way to make it bite-sized, he took it to the next level by deep-frying the salad into a delicious little ball of almost-healthy goodness.
All the usual suspects are involved, as you stuff the tomato and basil inside a fresh mozzarella cheese ball, cover the ball in two coats of flour, egg wash and Italian breading, then dump that bad boy into the fryer.
The results are both colorful and delicious, so if you want to transform your Caprese salad into something more beastly, we’ve got you covered.
