From BBQ Sauce to Cliff Bars — Here’s How Much Sugar is Hiding in Everyday Food

Food holds a great many mysteries. When you think about it, do you know what’s actually in that McDonald’s Hot ‘N Spicy McChicken or Starbucks drink? Sugar. Lots and lots of sugar.

The folks over at Buzzfeed created a video that exposes just how much sweetener common foods contain. While it’s pretty clear something like soda is loaded with sugar, did you know orange juice has more of the sweet stuff per serving? And get this — a container of BBQ sauce has about 168g of sugar or the equivalent of four Cokes. The ole dentist won’t be so happy about that tidbit.
