Burger King’s Newest Burger Features A Fried Egg

Give me a burger, I’ll eat it without complaints. Put a whole egg on top of it, and I’ll probably fall in love with it.

By that logic, I’d probably go head-over-heels for this brand new creation that Burger King France has dropped on us.

Sometime around late January, Burger King France began selling the “Egg Burger,” an epic creation featuring one or two beef patties, bacon, barbecue sauce, mayo, tomatoes, cheese, crispy onions, and a fried egg. It’s all sandwiched in between a cornmeal-dusted bun, giving the egg burger a more upscale and fancy image.

To further emphasize the fact that there’s an egg in this burger, it’s being sold in an egg-shaped carton. So far, customers in France have been loving the newest creation, posting photos of it all over Instagram.

This is a burger idea that I can see doing really well here in the US. We love our upscale burgers, we love crispy onions, we especially love eggs on top of the burgers. Although the above photos don’t prominently feature any runny yolk, cooking the eggs just to that runny level would be the perfect way to make this burger go viral in the America.

Here’s to hoping, I guess.
