Burger King India Releasing Three Whopper Variations with Zero Beef

Whopper-India-No-Beef

Burger King just announced that they’ll be bringing the Whopper to India. Before anyone gets bent out of shape over putting cow meat on the menu, the fast food chain announced that the new Whopper will be completely beef-free. Actually three of them are going to be beef-free.

The burger chain is introducing a Chicken, Vegetarian and Mutton (lamb) Whopper to their India menu, reports the Wall Street Journal. The “Whoppers” will still feature the staple condiments of their US counterpart: lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup and mayonnaise.

Apparently if you substitute the protein in a Whopper, it’s not really a Whopper anymore. This is pointed out many times by Burger King India’s many Facebook fans.

At least they’re trying, though.
