Breakfast Around the World As Told by Food Porn
Warning: Major food porn ahead.
As I sprinkled bits of fried chicken (leftovers for breakfast) on my keyboard whilst scrolling through these images of breakfast food around the world, my heart sank. How foolish of me to not crack open a few fried eggs on my chicken and to not pile on some canned beans for a semi-English breakfast. Once I got to France I knew I should have picked up a croissant at the cafe on the way to work and Cuba’s meal gave me a sudden craving for buttered bread dunked in coffee.
Alas, now I am torn between grabbing a chocolate croissant or a bowl of noodles covered in sticky sauce as a post-lunch snack.
Hey, you’ve been warned. So I hope you’ve had a hearty meal before you start scrolling through this breakfast food porn by sonicbomb. You might end up eating your keyboard and using sriracha to taste.

Italy – “‘Cappuccino e cornetto’ aka a cappuccino and croissant.”
Mexico – “The delightful plate… consists of beef tips, chilequiles and other assorted goodies eaten in Manzanillo. Nachos, cheese and beans always feature heavily and a delicious, spicy breakfast is the norm.”
Australia – “Only one crucial ingredient here, Vegemite. Traveling Aussies are often found with a sneaky pot of the sticky, salty brown stuff in their backpack. Just don’t get in the Vegemite vs Marmite war – everybody knows Marmite is better, but let them have their fun.”
Ok, this one is a little gnarly. Vegemite/Marmite is possibly the worst thing, ever.
Cuba – “Usually consists of sweetened coffee with milk with a pinch of salt thrown in. The unique Cuban bread is toasted and buttered and cut into lengths to dunk in the coffee.”
America – “Home made thick pancakes with bacon, syrup and blueberries.”
Brazil – “A selection of meats, cheeses and bread is the normal breakfast fare.”
English – “Sausages, bacon, eggs, grilled tomato, mushrooms, bread, black pudding and baked beans. Knocked back with a cup of tea.”
France – “Le croissant, plain or with crushed almonds, butter, chocolate or cream, and coffee of course.”
China – “A lot like lunch and dinner in China. Expect noodles, rice, sticky coated chicken and fried veggies.”
