Better Than a Text Message: ‘Break Up Candy’ for Your Soon-To-Be-Ex

3

Breaking up is hard to do, but these sweet treats make the process a little less bitter.  Designed by Kathy Mueller for her graduate school project, “Clean Break” candy are made to be given to a soon-to-be ex, taking a bit of the sting out of a break up.  Lemonheads, maple sugar candies, and a chocolate bacon bar complete the trio.  I don’t know about you, but chocolate and bacon sound like a great combo to me if I was getting dumped (I’ll take some in ice cream form too, please).

The slogans on the packaging reference the candy itself.  The bacon bar, for example, says “Bacon and chocolate are a match made in heaven. . . You and me, not so much.” The candy also comes with cards you can fill out with reasons for leaving.  You know, so you don’t go crazy and starting throwing a fit in public in front of them.  It’s all about “breaking it off with taste.”

don't get sappy

We’ve got to give Mueller credit for the cute design and genius idea.  Besides, candy is always better than a breakup text.
