Pliny The Elder Has Finally Been Dethroned As ‘Best Beer In America’

The legendary, undisputed champion of craft beer, Pliny The Elder, has finally been dethroned!

If you are a beer drinker, and have not had the pleasure of having Pliny’s smooth salutation meet your tastebuds, you will not be disappointed. The highly sought after and rare double IPA brewed by Northern California’s Russian River Brewing Co. has been crowned #1 by the American Homebrewers Association eight-years running, until this year.

Readers of the association’s Zymurgy Magazine were polled on their 20 favorite commercially available beer in the United States, and have finally crowned Bell’s Brewery’s Two Hearted Ale as America’s best beer.

The brewery based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan has been ranked second to Pliny for several years, but it looks like pollers had a change of heart (all puns intended) this time around.
