Ben & Jerry’s New Flavors for 2013 Are No Chunky Monkey
Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz. That’s not just how our brains are functioning on this lovely Monday morning, it also happens to be just one of Ben & Jerry’s five new flavors for 2013: Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz, Chocolate Peppermint Crunch, Candy Bar Pie, Pineapple Passionfruit and Vanilla Honey Caramel.
Previously only available at Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop locations, Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz has been re-released in retail pints and features coffee-flavored ice cream drizzled with chunks of espresso bean fudge.
The Chocolate Peppermint Crunch flavor features chocolate ice cream, peppermint and fudge swirls and mint chocolate cookies.
The two new Greek frozen yogurt flavors, Pineapple Passionfruit and Vanilla Honey Caramel, are each made, respectively, with pineapple Greek frozen yogurt, pineapple pieces and a passion fruit swirl, and vanilla Greek frozen yogurt with a honey caramel swirl. Ben & Jerry’s most recent flavor, the Liz Lemon Greek yogurt, will be available through May 31.
The most exciting flavor of the bunch by far, however, is the Candy Bar Pie. Sadly only available in scoop shops, it consists of peanut butter ice cream, fudge flakes, chocolate nougat and sweet & salty pretzel swirls. Kind of like a Take 5 Bar, only more frozen and only about 15 miles too far away from me.
