BelVita Breakfast Biscuits [OUR LOOK]
If you’re the type who rushes out the door in the morning, leaving no time to build a meaningful relationship with breakfast, then Nabisco’s new Belvita biscuits are the perfect thing to help patch things up with your morning meal.
Belvita tries to deliver a tasty treat that helps sustain energy during those long and dreadful mornings.
The released flavors are golden oat, blueberry, and apple cinnamon and come in individually wrapped packs of four (five packs per box). In the United Kingdom, Belvita offers a few different flavors, most notably cream filled versions of the biscuits, which hopefully will be making its way to the U.S. soon.
Some notable nutritional facts are the 18-20 grams of whole grain, 3-4 grams of protein, and 3 grams of dietary fiber. The 3 grams of fiber are what caught my eye, which is not too shabby, especially when combined with the B-vitamins which are the sources of the “Nutritious sustained energy” they strongly advertise.
I liked that neither flavor was crazy strong, which is great, unless you’re used to downing Red Bull’s for breakfast.
As I was testing these delightful little biscuits, I found that they are a good compliment to your morning coffee, and taste great with peanut butter and jelly.
Now if you have a little extra time in the morning and want to go into Foodbeast-mode, you can flirt with what I like to call the Belvita Breakfast Triple Threat. The first level of the BBTT is pretty basic, peanut butter and jelly with banana slices. If you reach the second level, you’ll dare to stick an egg (sunny-side up) and a strip of bacon in between a couple of your Belvita Biscuits. If you thought you could hang with the bacon and egg Belvita Biscuit, then give Bacon and Bacon Belvita Biscuit a try.
Now I don’t know about you, but I had a pretty rocky relationship with breakfast, so I thought I’d be a gentleman-of-sorts and took breakfast to dinner. I figured a steak and sandwich with some macaroni and cheese on the side would taste awesome with these Belvita biscuits, and I was very right.
If you have some time, you can get creative. But if you’re in a rush, grab a pack and go!
