Every Photo In Alton Brown’s New Cookbook Will Be Shot On An iPhone

Celebrity chef Alton Brown is going to keep things really simple in his new cookbook, right down to the photography.

The photos in Brown’s next 100-recipe book will not be taken with the most expensive cameras in the world, surrounded by the most expensive production in the world because every single photo will be shot with an iPhone, according to Eater.

Brown spoke with Eater and revealed the photos will be shot by photographer and Director of Digital Ops Sarah DeHeer, so there will be some photographic expertise involved, but other than that, the book’s photos will encompass a familiar social media feel.

Brown also said his target audience for the book is the “Instagram crowd,” so it makes sense to interact in a way that Instagrammers are used to.

Keeping with the personal feel, the recipes themselves will be conventional. Brown said it’s simply food he really makes for himself every day, not just recipes that try to keep with a specific theme.

It’s essentially going to be a personal Instagram account, but with the recipes attached, in book form.

As long as there aren’t 50 hashtags attached to each recipe, sounds like a good idea.
