Alligator Meat, and Other Things Spotted in the Popeyes Test Kitchen

Could the next Popeyes limited time item be…an Alligator sandwich?

During a recent trip to Popeyes’ headquarters in Atlanta, GA, a select few media got a peek into the brand’s test kitchen in support of their latest Zatarain’s Butterfly Shrimp product launch. In the process of touring the kitchen, we spotted a few inspirational items that head chef Amy Alarcon had brought in to help “spur ideation for the culinary team.”

While the items featured may not necessarily reflect actual items in the Popeyes product development pipeline, it does give a good idea of where the team’s head may be at and what time of items, flavors and consistencies may be on the drawing board.

Popcorn Alligator bites? A Crawfish & Crab Pie? Alligator Sausage Baguette Sandwiches? Better question, what would you do, or like to see done, with the above ingredients?
