Aldi Called Out For New Easter Bunny Marshmallow Treats That Look Penis-Shaped

Easter is around the corner with seasonal treats already lining grocery shelves. To capitalize off of the upcoming festivities, discount supermarket chain Aldi has released a marshmallow treat that’s not quite receiving the cuddly bunny reaction they expected. A shopper shared a photo of Aldi’s new “Marshmallow Bunnies and Chicks,” pointing out the treat had a peculiar shape, almost phallic-like. Apparently, after gaining over 7.1 million views, it seems many agreed with the Tweet’s implications.

“Sorry Aldi, but that ain’t a Bunny,” the shopper wrote in the caption of the post.

Easter symbolizes new life, so in some Bizzaro reality, penises make sense. Unfortunately, in our reality, it’s understandable why someone would prefer eating egg-shaped candy to marshmallow penises.

Aldi caught wind of the viral tweet, offering no excuses in response, “We can’t even defend this one.”

As you can expect, the hilarious oversight made the comment section go crazy. Responses ranged from pure shock to humor-filled memes.

Who knows how these made it past the quality control department? April Fool’s Day is coming up, too, so maybe it was a prank or a clever marketing ploy. As of now, Aldi hasn’t commented on whether or not they plan to pull the product from shelves.
