Airheads Unveils Its First A.I. Film Festival For Halloween

Airheads will be joining the Halloween festivities with their first-ever A.I.RHEADS SCAREFEST. They’ve harnessed the power of artificial intelligence to produce five short, spooky films.

This unique film festival invited five filmmakers to use AI to create Halloween-themed movies featuring the iconic Airheads balloon. The catch? The films had to strike a balance between horror and humor — because, well, it’s still all about candy.

From October 24 to November 30, you can watch these AI-generated films on the festival’s website. But here’s the twist: Airheads fans can also step into the director’s chair. By crafting their AI-driven horror shorts, they stand a chance to win a year’s supply of Airheads candy and $2,000.

The guidelines are simple: Incorporate the Airheads balloon and blend chills with chuckles, and the fan film with the most votes takes the prize.

Ronnie Allman, the creator of “While You Sleep,” one of the feature films in the festival, shared his experience: “I usually can’t watch horror films because they scare me too much and keep me up at night. Now, after making this short film for SCAREFEST, I’m still up at night, spooked about how quickly I can use AI to bring my creative vision to life.”

So, this Halloween, enjoy Airheads candy, savor these AI-generated films, and maybe even try your hand at crafting your own AI-powered horror story. You can watch the films and submit your own here.
