Anti-sugar and soft drinks campaign, The Real Bears, is on a mission to spread the word about the dangers of drinking your favorite soda. Via a video featuring a family of four endearing polar bears, The Real Bears campaign gets their message across: Soda is very, very unhappy.

The story starts off with the polar bears, slimmer at this point, taking sips out of sodas bearing a remarkable resemblance to Coca Cola. The papa bear then leans over, causing a tear in his “fur lining.” As he and his son pat their growing tummies, the audience gets an amusing sense of foreboding.

In the next shot, the polar bear family is considerably plumper and still toting their classic Coca Cola-esque bottles. A series of unfortunate events follow, including Papa Bear getting stuck in a fishing hole due to his growing waistline, not being able to ruffle the sheets with Mama Bear and having his leg amputated due to diabetes complications.

In the end, the family rallies together and pours out their soda addiction into the ocean, as if declaring freedom from their sugar fiending. As the soda enters the water it begins to resemble oil waste, alluding to the idea that soda pollutes your health.

Overall, it’s a clip with a serious message that also manages to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
