9 Mickey Mouse Shaped Foods That Taste Like Your Childhood

My childhood summers were filled with lazy mornings, thrilling water balloon fights, blazing campfires and decadent chocolate mouse ears. That’s right, Disney World was a favorite summer vacation destination for my family. As a food fanatic in training, I had to try all the Mickey Mouse-shaped treats.

I’ve traded Disney for summer classes, an internship and a job this year, but that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on the magic. As long as these 9 Mickey-shaped treats are around, I’ll always be a child at heart.

There’s no better way to start your day in the most magical place on earth than with one of these irresistibly fluffy and delicately crisp waffles. You’ll catch their decadent scent wafting out of just about every Disney breakfast joint.

2. Giant Pretzels

Can you say “carbo-load?” These smiling pretzels provide all the energy you need for a day running from ride to ride. They are always warm and fresh and pair perfectly with gooey cheese sauce.

3. Cake Pops

These cake pops are the perfect if you’re looking for a sweet treat but don’t want a sugar overload. One cake face and two marshmallow ears give these chocolate-coated pops their iconic shape.

4. Candy Apples

These apples are adorned with two marshmallow ears and get dressed up for every holiday and new movie release. They are so impeccably decorated you’ll be tempted to keep them as eye candy rather than take a bite.

5. Cupcakes

Disney’s bake shops are overflowing with stunning cupcakes in all sorts of flavors, but don’t let these crazy creations distract you. The true classic cupcakes have Oreo Mickey ears snuggled in thick and creamy icing.

6. Ice Cream Sandwiches

Until Disney offers Mickey-shaped PB&Js, we’ll continue to choose this chilly treat over a proper lunch. Actually, let’s be honest, we’d have to be offered a Mickey-shaped steak before we gave up this velvety cookies and cream ice cream and smiling chocolate cookies.

7. Gingerbread Cookies

Grandma’s Christmas cookies will never taste the same again after a bite of these mouthwateringly chewy ginger-mice. A rich chocolate coating over Mickey’s ears is the perfect sweet balance to these zingy cookies.

8. Rice Krispie Treat

These classic treats might even be more iconic than the shiny blue wrapped rectangles from elementary school. The perfect ratio of cereal to marshmallow is shaped into the mouse’s signature ears before being smothered in chocolate and candies.

9. Ice Cream Bars

When the hunger pangs hit, all the jaw-dropping Disney magic can become overwhelming. Recoup with a refreshing treat of Mickey-shaped vanilla ice cream dunked in a luscious chocolate bath.
